A comic: In the first panel, a teenaged boy with rosy cheeks, light skin, and floppy brown hair and an adult woman with dark skin, a long braid lok, and a blue outfit look up at the sound of an onomatopoeiatic "creak." They're inside a jail cell. The woman is wearing stocks (like the kind you see at a renaissance fair or colonial village, but with not stand, just sitting around her wrists and neck).
In the second panel, we see armored men coming in through a door on the other side of the cell bars. One holds a long pole.
The third panel shows the man in the lead, wearing what they're all wearing: what, in the story, is called a "brasscap," a brass-topped helmet whose flared and extended nasal guard covers the nose and mouth. The two top lines of an upwards-pointing triangle are cut and the triangle bent outward at its base; the effect gives the helmet a skull-like effect. The man says "It's time."
