Rainbow Lorikeets Australia Diet: in canopies feeding on nectar and pollen. They frequently descend to grassy fields in large, highly energetic social flocks. Known as the "clowns" of the parrot world, they are incredibly social. On the ground, chase each other, and are playful and show off.

We said goodbye to our friend Sunday. What a crowd! It seemed more like an @scbwi.bsky.social meet-up than a memorial service, which was perfect. Even though she's gone she will continue to live on through the words we write - and I’m pretty sure she'd be pretty happy about that. RIP, #JaneYolen

It was never my intention of returning from a hiatus just to announce a hiatus - but it appears I'm doing exactly that. Back on April 30, I wrapped up National Poetry Month and shared the news that our family was moving and I would need to go on a short blogging break until we were setlled; that hiatus turned out to be quite a bit longer than anticipated.
