#wolqotd Ken is fond of origami. He was apprenticed to a paper-maker who knew he wouldn't be around long enough to pick up the trade and decided that he could at least pass that much on. Paper isn't very safe around Ken, something the more academically-inclined Scions have discovered to their cost.

#wolqotd Ken, at 11, managed to murder his 12 year old sister's dreams stone dead by laughing - just once, incredulously - when she told him she still thought she could be a schoolteacher. "That's stupid. We're not even citizens". He genuinely thought she understood. Couldn't believe she didn't.

#wolqotd Ken, at 10 summers, took over the cooking after his mother's death, over the objections of his father that it was no job for a boy. He left school age 11, falling into a routine of doing odd jobs before he was considered old enough to start an apprenticeship: his family needed the money.

#wolqotd Ken bristles. He's got Short Man Syndrome pretty bad, having spent his whole life being relentlessly small for a Midlander and brought up to associate it with savageness, with not quite counting. He KNOWS, thanks. He is extremely aware of that fact. He didn't need it pointed out YET AGAIN.
