Whenever the folks at my polling place say “thanks for voting” I always say “thanks for volunteering!” And they always seem surprised. But they’re doing an important job! In my neighborhood it’s always older Black ladies so maybe the surprise is a random white girl is being polite and respectful 😂🤪

I know I said it before, but once again: Some of the loudest voices advocating for Palestinian liberation in the U.S. are Jewish voices. And missing that entirely makes me think that some people just never go looking for groups that actually fund raise and organize around that cause.

Patrick Stewart was proof that our ageist belief that elderly folks don’t contribute to society. That man was 86 and still working and still an icon and still very much a part of our lives. And everyone needs to think about that next time they dismiss someone as too old to be competent.

Erin's thread is very good, and the video shows how to best respond, but it is very infuriating to look at the quote tweets or replies and see "well she was probably a republican". Part of the reason that abtisemitism has flourished on the left is that people keep hand waving it away.
