I am Jewish and I’ve been hating AIPAC longer than you have, I promise. AIPAC isn’t why Hakeem Jeffries doesn’t support Medicare For All anymore. And if you imply it is, I think you just like blaming Jews for things. And as a Jew, that makes me feel unsafe with you. I hope you care about that.

Fuck AIPAC but they’re not the only bad guy. When I post about a Democrat sucking, and y’all go right to AIPAC, it’s really testing the antisemitism fence and I’m tired of having to parse that shit. Centrist Dems suck for more than one reason, and if you go right to Jews, you’re not helping.

Me saying that Gates easily has $4 billion to make up the USAID cuts is not the fucking same thing as saying the USAID cuts were fine what the ever loving fuck is wrong with you people.

The Disney+Hulu app is so fucking weird because the landing page is like Camp Rock 3, The Bluey Movie, The Tupac Murder Trial, Dying for Sex, American Horror Story, and Mickey’s Country Farm Songs

Being a fact checker for a decade at a national magazine sure did shine a pretty big spotlight one this! We cleaned up the shitty work of ALOT of prominent reporters you’d never expect and saved their asses from so much shit. Less prominent writers just didn’t get more work from the publication.

I keep thinking about this story. It's unusual to get such specific data illustrating how some writers get a very different set of filing standards, opportunities, and second chances — especially in a very challenging job and freelance media market — and which other writers do not.

I had post-exertion fatigue from going to the museum yesterday (a thing that happens to people with chronic illness and not just “oh I need a nap”) and I slept from 6 pm to like 4 am and now it’s 6 am and everything is gonna be real fucking weird and off for the next 24 hours.

Anyway if you're looking for something to read (or listen to) this weekend, might I suggest.... ALL MY DEAD CATS has a little something for everyone! Especially since everyone knows grief should be a collective project and capitalism is ruining everything.

All My Dead Cats and Other Losses: Practicing Good Grief in a Culture That Fears Mourning

"Both a grief book that doesn't read like a clinician's notes and a memoir wrapped around a bigger subject, All My Dead Cats takes grief from the taboo to the universal." — BooklistHave you suffered a...

One you might find surprising. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt & members of her team have been extremely helpful in responding to questions I raise. Regardless of public facing commentary, privately they are willing to engage and address questions.
And I have appreciated that. Thank you

Attention Ecologists! We are going to need *a lot* of ecologists. The First Lego League Teams need to speak with a scientist about their projects every year. Every year it's a different type of scientist. Last year was archaeologists. This year, ecologists! Sign up: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

A fish is a teacher, wearing a button-up shirt with a collar. He says "Volunteer to speak with classrooms in front of a chalkboard that says "Skype a scientist needs YOU!". A snail on his desk says Help! And a shrimp says "Lego league is coming!" and a nervous seahorse says "this year's theme is ecosystems"

If a fish was a schoolteacher would they wear a short sleeve button up shirt and a tie, or JUST a tie?

It’s so funny adults keep relentlessly doing this when for time immemorial youth culture has influenced fashion. Kids are and have always been at the cutting edge of trends. Someone slap me if I ever become one of these kinds of adults.
