Author, screenwriter, filmmaker, and solver of problems (usually my own, I’ll admit). Always happy to talk story with story-talkers. Always welcoming to under-represented voices, trans voices, etc. If I ran for office, my “party” would be Starfleet.

I may be a horror writer, but that didn’t protect me from waking up today, realizing the solution to the programming issue currently holding me back on writing this web game. Furthermore, it’s a technique I learned programming on an Apple ][e in 1982-3! So, stay in school, y’all! And make games!

Former job bullshit: We kept losing employees because we were paying shit, and the manager tells me that he doesn’t want to pay more because he doesn’t want people “who are just hunting for a paycheck.” Buddy, no one cares about being “on the winning team,” they all got families to feed. Jerk.

It’s so irksome that we allowed screaming babbling idiots to scream and babble and be idiots solely because when we tried to keep it fun, educational, and interesting, they all publicly bawled about “restricting conservative voices” and then they bot-flooded social spaces with their deadly garbage.

I think a mistake has been made. I think licenses to drive an automobile should have remained exactly that. They should never have been elevated to serve as personal identification. Just like SSN should have never been adopted by so many institutions as a user ID. But I’m bad at planning.

Trump passports will be the E.T. video cartridge game of the future, unsellable and ridiculous, gathered together late one night and unceremoniously dumped en masse in an unmarked landfill in hopes of never being found again.

When the bomb says "I must think on this further" and slides back up into the bomb bay, your next step is to pack as fast as you can and get outside the blast radius. Never expect a bomb to come to a conclusion other than "...therefore, I boom."

Watching “Lovers of the Arctic Circle” at a theater, thinking it was a quirky romantic comedy, and then having to lock yourself down until you get home before letting that dam burst, is a special kind of torture.

"Gee, I wish we didn't NEED rules, but some folks are fuckpoodles, and so not only do we need rules, but we need agreement on the necessary punishment for the breaking of those rules." The reason our laws are so complicated is because people keep trying to be fuckin' lawyers. Including lawyers.

When someone complains about “cancel culture.” 1. They suck 2. They refuse to acknowledge they suck. 3. They've been TOLD they suck. 4. See #2 5. When faced with someone who does NOT suck, they refuse to believe it, because however obvious it might be to even the most casual passerby, see #2.

More than a few times, conversations with HR have included such phrases as “…there isn’t a rule against this per se, but…” That's what they get for inviting me to a pumpkin carving contest and telling me to "Just cut loose, let's see what you do!"

Man, I gotta say that I hit my fill of saying-negative-things-about-movies a long time ago. After a while, it all sounds like everybody's trying to one-up each other on how shitty they can be about a movie. On the plus side, the white-supremacists are marginally more visible.
