i'm not religious and typically do not put much attention to these kinds of matters, but i do sincerely want to wish Pope Leo a thorough post-surgery recovery and strength for his upcoming battle with lung cancer. we have too few voices in world leadership with the character and integrity we need.

The Vatican announced Tuesday that Pope Leo XIV, 71, has been diagnosed with lung cancer after surgery confirmed lung adenocarcinoma. Surgeons removed the lower lobe of his right lung in a successful operation lasting about 90 minutes, with no complications reported. Source: CBS News

you guys! i'm trying not to fanboy too much but i'm failing because Luke Skywalker follows and has been liking my recent Trumpy strips! i'm so freakin' stoked right now...

so apparently that pop-pop-pop i felt at the games were full-on tears in several flexor muscles in my elbow. we don't yet know the extent of the damage, but i definitely tore a decent chunk of my bicep. there is no gun show anymore if i try to flex my muscles :( i have pics, but they're gnarly.

spent the day throwing heavy things even shorter than expected today... i pulled my brachioradialis and brachialos at least, if not a couple more in my upper forearm. ever feel that certain pop pop pop as your muscles pull? super fun...
