The people who rise up eventually will be those who rely on the government to live. This is framed as a race war, but it’s more than that. It’s a class war at the highest level. So I pray that when people rise to fight for their right to live full and healthy and safe lives, they rise together.

I listened to the Let Them Theory on Audible and found the foundational idea really compelling. The extrapolation of it, less so. Not because it wasn’t well-written, but because some of the things that plague Black and brown people feel more complex than the examples shared.

Truly diabolical.

I realize that the advice to “be kind” isn’t always reasonable. Some don’t know how to be kind. Some have never known kindness. Some are too hurt to be kind. Some mistake kindness for weakness. So maybe we should say “be kind if you’re able.” Because some are clearly not able. #kindness
