It’s PhD day! 5 years today I defended my dissertation, and look at me in my big girl PI office!
I was trying to type the word “synapse” but THREE TIMES in a row I typed “Sydnapse”. Then I’d backspace and go to fix it, but again “Sydnapse”! I had to walk away from my desk to reboot
FINALLY! It’s great to finally get a good Superman movie!
Is anyone in New Orleans interested in fostering or adopting the sweetest little black kitten? She’s about 9 weeks old and a big fan of cuddles!
I managed to trap some feral kittens last night! If anyone in New Orleans is interested in adopting or fostering, let me know! I’m guessing they’re in the 8-12 week range, more scared than spicy. I’m doing my best, but I have dogs.
I’ve got the new #Pulp album playing on repeat while I work on a grant. Haven’t been this into a new album in an age!
After 3 conferences back-to-back, I’ll be rotting on the couch with my dogs for the next 4 days.

I finished my sections for BOTH review papers I’m on, AND I made a google doc so my committee can work on our conference presentation together! Sometimes you’ve gotta work weekends to get through the Sisyphean workload, but it feels damn good to get it done.
