My father, a baggage handler at SeaTac Airport, bought our family home in 1971 for $15,000. Today, that very same house would cost $526,000. Hedge funds and wealthy corporations continue to buy up single-family homes, kicking working-class Americans out of the housing market.

ICE is halting traffic stops after agents killed two people in a week who were not the targets of warrants: Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston. Two more lives lost due to ICE's recklessness. Their families deserve answers, and the public deserves accountability.

Breaking news: ICE has temporarily instructed officers to refrain from making traffic-stop arrests in most cases, according to people with knowledge of the directive, a policy shift spurred by recent fatal shootings involving officers firing into vehicles.
