Good news.. they are coming back to work, not admin leave. They are getting backpay for the time off. Efficiency check: how many GS-fantastics does it take to bring back 400 employees? We could probably pay all of them a whole year with all this “coordination.”

I am not a government efficiency expert, but firing thousands of forestry workers and withholding funds for equipment used to prevent forest fires seems like a bad idea Wildfire season is coming, and training firefighters takes time I'm not sure Canada and Mexico will help us this time around

You don’t hate us when we call an ambulance to save your life, put out wildfires before they reach your home, rescue your lost kid, keep your water clean, or build the trails you love. But now they want to defund us? No rangers, no rescue, no wildfire response. Think about that.

The guardians of the forest, its wildlife, and our planet’s future don’t back down easily. I do this for the children, the next wilderness explorers 🦌, while others fight for something even greater. Stay strong Rangers. Nature stands as one — it doesn’t see different trees, only a thriving forest 🌳⛰️

Please don’t be startled if you approach a gatehouse and a deer is working 🦌. We’ve had some budget cuts recently & they’ve agreed to 9am-5pm (with grazing time) in exchange for us leaving the space heaters on. Yes it may be far fetched and take longer, but they hoof-printed the employee agreement 🤷🏼‍♂️

We’ve been told to “deal with the woke bears.” Our Rangers kindly asked the bears to stop being bisexual, but one unfortunate event led to multiple lovers showing up and mauling Sr. Ranger Richard Girthbrooks, known by his code name “Hardwood”. Prayers for Hardwood’s speedy recovery 💚🌳
