This is what happens when you nickel and dime an offense. Remember the 2008 Red Sox that came back from 7-0 down in the seventh vs. the Rays to send the ALCS back to Tampa? Their lineup featured Coco, Pedroia, Ortiz, Youkilis, Drew, Bay and Varitek. That's an offense. This is a prayer.

I can’t believe I need to say this but if you are tied or losing in the late innings of an elimination game you throw your relievers in order of how good they are. Or, I guess, you *could* throw Erik Miller against a guy who mashes sliders and then a guy who hasn’t pitched since April.

The guy we wanted to call up to replace the guy who had been injured all year and then injured himself again was injured, so we had to call up a guy who got injured in his second at bat and is now hopefully no longer injured.

🧵 The real problem with the Red Sox is that they're cheap. In the past 5-7 years they've ignored good FA pitchers and signed injury rehab projects: Liam Hendricks: $10m -- 13.2 IP, 6.59 ERA Walker Buehler: $21m -- 112 IP, 5.45 ERA, -1.0 WAR Patrick Sandoval: $18.25m -- 70 IP, 5.12 ERA, -0.6 WAR

Sometimes you can’t predict the future, and other times you see with blinding clarity that Rahm will bomb in the first debate, say 10 dumb things about reaching across the aisle, poll at one percent, get dunked on relentlessly, drop out, and run for senate as a centrist Republican.

Sometimes when you’re evil you’re actually good. Sometimes when you’re swimming you’re actually flying. Once I was eating a gyro but I was actually winning the 1928 Olympic medal in figure skating. Oftentimes when a person poops they are in fact actually tailoring a suit.

Two of Hollywood’s oldest and greatest companies (and the jobs of tens of thousands of people who work for them) are now completely dependent on the personal stock holdings of one guy who has made an enormous bet on AI data centers. What could go wrong?

“Oracle officers and directors are forbidden from pledging company shares as collateral for personal loans, with one exception, Larry Ellison… The total stock pledged now represents about 36% of Ellison’s total holdings of 1.16 billion shares.”

This guy was one of the world’s biggest and must successful race-baiting grifters. I am so glad he has suddenly decided to stop being a grifter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is a wonderful turn of events!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I will literally believe anything anyone tells me!!!!!
