Forgot to share this, but I had the chance to contribute to the outside of one of my favorite local stores in downtown Lawrence, 1313 Mockingbird Lane! They sell a ton of vintage and collectible stuff here and have been my go-to store for Godzilla stuff. So I painted this Mechagodzilla for them!

Remember that Gamera comic I did for the Gamera The Great fanzine years ago? Well, I decided to give it a cover and touch up the colors and writing and make it an individual fanzine for a local zine festival! It’s been a lot of fun revisiting this comic!

We caught Disclosure Day last night and I had no idea that a majority of it took place in Kansas City. Unfortunately, I spent every moment scrutinizing it because they clearly shot it in some other city that looks NOTHING like Kansas City. 😭

The friend I took to see Three-Headed Monster with isn’t very versed in Godzilla, and on the (long) drive home he waxed lyrical about SanDaikaijuGoji’s textures and expressive puppetry. “You only laugh because his character comes through so brightly. It’s like watching a nuked Muppet. He’s alive!”
