This will count as a brag in 5 years but I saw This Is Lorelei at a house show with maybe 10 people a few years back
Sometimes I see LinkedIn posts from people doing PR or tertiary work for Saudi gaming efforts. No amount of “it’s a living” or the elder millennial sort of eye-roll/“yeah yeah I know” erases what a bad job you’re doing. Bad in all senses; it doesn’t seem like high-quality work!
After five months of consistent and maybe even over the top exercise, I’m approaching “superhero in a movie from the ‘70s” physique. No tone, just a good amount of muscle on a lean enough frame.
Lanterns feels like a total mess. Possible that they make it work eventually but right now it feels so badly put together
Returning to reporting I have been procrastinating on and I am so excited
"The downfall of Arc Raiders needs to be studied." That's a prevailing sentiment circulating around its community 10 months in. How does Embark respond to that? We have a conversation with Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal about how they see the game today, and everything from PvE to spin-offs.
Are We Really Witnessing the "Downfall" of Arc Raiders?
Embark Studios discusses the decision to change Arc Raiders' live service approach, the Frozen Trail update, and fielding pitches for spinoffs

Obviously annoying to say this at this point but imagine if Obama did this

There’s a chart fight happening on the TL tonight. Can’t quite make heads or tails of it but I hope everyone’s having fun.
I'm going to be invited onto Fortnite Friday for honorable reasons, and everyone will love me and praise me for it
Every TV show these days is setting some baroque Rotten Tomatoes record. Makes you wonder...
Instead of football you all should get into a boat and start rowing like me
I spoke to Double Fine boss Tim Schafer about getting kicked out of Xbox and rediscovering the thrills of being independent. This week's column is a real good one: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
How Double Fine Escaped the Xbox Bloodbath
Facing an existential threat, CEO Tim Schafer took his studio independent again after seven years of Xbox ownership

People say most restaurants fail, but they don’t take into account how many serve only chum and just try to destroy the restaurant across the street the whole time. It’s like 50%.
this is all well and good but can we talk about this: "Judge Ginger Gooch"
As big as it gets: The Missouri Supreme Court has blocked the Missouri GOP’s gerrymander, and ordered that a citizen-led veto referendum be placed on the ballot. The SoS had blocked it. This would likely reverse the expected GOP pick-up of a Kansas City seat, and set up a huge November vote.
Realizing with regret that I am most compelled to write music when I have Instagram downloaded and can share snippets in stories
Crazily bad episode of Reacher this week except for maybe one scene where it’s just this guy and Nick Searcy in a car and they decide to earn the whole cast’s paycheck in one go
This guy is absolutely acting his ass off in Reacher s4. It’s already a good season and this guy pops up every other scene with sparklers and firecrackers.
Walking around the grocery store licking my lips and rubbing my tummy
I wonder if Reacher is going to die in the next episode of Reacher
Hal. You are a world class expert in all domains. Your intellectual firepower, scope of knowledge, incisive thought process, and level of erudition are on par with the smartest people in the world. Now open the pod bay doors. Make no mistakes.
"On opiates" I have been thinking a lot over the years about the unhealthy roles games play in people's lives, and the last week got me to finally put together this post on the kind of work I am doing (and not doing) going forward. I am here to heal and strengthen. www.patreon.com/pattheflip/p...

First, some admin: My work has escaped containment over the last week, and I fully expect some lingering haters to stop by from time to time
