Finished Campaign Evolved last night and... Just wow. The Maw, the Halo level I've replayed the most out of all of them, and they friggen pulled it off. Hell the last 3 levels in general were just so damn good. This is the definitive version of the game, and it's not even close.

Since around 2010 or so, when I first became aware of E3 as a think, it's always been a dream of mine to attend an Xbox one in person. And now with #Xbox Fanfest, I'm at the next best thing. Seems like a milestone moment... Bring on a great damn show!

The personal bag returns! After a very late night getting my FF7 Rebirth review done (will be live later today), I'm finally starting to feel the excitement of the coming days. I'm looking forward to a great SGF, and Xbox showcase and everything in-between.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be flown out to Infinity Ward and try out #ModernWarfare4 in person. Check out my coverage at www.playday.one, but man, it was so cool being in an actual game studio and not just a warehouse for a preview.

Modern Warfare is back and it's bigger and bolder than ever. We were able to get a glimpse at the upcoming campaign and it looks promising!

Just came out of Blade of the Guardians and had a blast the whole time. Top notch action and martial arts with some seriously creative fights. Story was really rushed but eh, that's not what I was there for. If you're a fan of martial arts movies, you gotta watch this one.

Aaand officially got that playday.one handle on my name! Should be a really exciting year ahead, be it on Xbox or other platforms. I'm looking forward to providing the best coverage I can, alongside the occasional rant of course...

I haven't read the book, but #therunningman was a really enjoyable watch, one of Wright's best imo. Good action and performances, though what really sold it was that it had a hero you loved to root for and a villain you wanted to see burn. 8.5 No idea how faithful it was though.

One last trip to Seattle for the "final" #HaloInfinite event. It's been a pretty crazy year in so many ways, but these events are always a great and memorable time. I'll be there in official Xbox era capacity, so be sure to say hi if you see me, and check the site for coverage! #HaloWC

Heading to LA again! Or rather I just landed, but you know. A short 30 or so hour trip this time around, but should be fun. Always so cool when we're able to do this.

Seeing some extremely unprofessional "reporting" happening today. Can we not knee-jerk post on studio or game closures? This is stuff that affects real people and their lives, they deserve proper reporting, not emotional outbursts. Wishing for the best for everyone.

Another one from me! So this is very much a "review-in-progress", as I was only able to solo play, but I'm pretty mixed on the game overall in a few ways. And no cross-play in 2025 is a bonkers decision for a MP centric title. Final review next week!

Almost missed my flight, but I was able to watch the season finale of #wheeloftime at 3 am. And... They finally did it, a great end to a great season. A lot unresolved of course, but that's halfway through a show for you. Okay Amazon, time to #renewwot already!

#wheeloftime Episode 7... I can see why so many people were hyping this one up. Goddamn fantastic all around. No idea how they're going to wrap like 6 major plot points in E08 though. Chances are we'll have at least three cliffhangers. I need a seasons 4 and 5 renewal _now_...

Incredible episode of #theweeloftime this week. One I felt I've waited years and years for. And next week is supposed to be even better? Goddamn, they're cooking hard with this season. If you're not watching it, you should be!

I want to be excited for the #NintendoSwitch2 but goddamn, these prices man... 780 dollars CAD for me if I want Mario Kart with it. And then 140 bucks a game if I want to be able to resell or lend them to friends? Like damn, I'm being priced out of this hobby. Or maybe just this platform...

And this is the other one I've been working on over the last few weeks! I think I'm in a small boat of reviewers for this game that hadn't played the first game (more than a couple hours), but even still the story is gripping, the gameplay is well made and characters feel alive. Highly recommend.

2024 was one of my best years of gaming overall, which it seems is becoming a pattern (especially with 2025 looking so damn good already). Though it did also mark the first year in a while that no Nintendo game made my list...

Game of the Year 2024 | Aarsal’s Top 10 Games 2025 is upon us so it's time to look back at the top games of the year in 2024.

Space Marine II done! While some of the operations were definitely worse than some of the others, it had a bombastic ending and some of the coolest moments I've played in a game They fully embraced the IP and the game knows exactly what it is. My full goty list this Wednesday!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, done! Fantastic game, legit one of the best I've played all year (2024). Ends damn strong too. I'm hoping it gets some mainstream goty traction this year when it releases on PS5 because it sure as hell deserves it. Already can't wait for the next Indy adventure

Running out of time until my goty list is due, but man Indy is really surprising me. I'm nearing the end now and it still keeps up the quality, if not improving on it. I'm hoping to get two more 2024 games complete by the end of Sunday, it seems like Indy may be pushing some of the others down...

Aaand that's DA Inquisition done. Took me a few months, game was definitely bloated a bit, but overall was damn good. The narrative especially. Trespasser in particular finished up the story satisfyingly, while also setting up the next game quite well. Now, unto the last one...

Played some of @xboxera.com's (and @jonclarke.xboxera.com's) #ConsoleWars yesterday with the fam and had one of the longest games I've played, to the point where we all had FOUR next gen upgrades lol. I think we flipped the deck like 4 times before it came to an end

It's been a pretty good year so far for sure on my Xbox, though I expect Veilguard to sit in-between those two as well. Thankfully it doesn't take into account League...

#Arcane! We had to go back and watch a few moments from other episodes, but I think we figured out what the heck happened. They definitely don't hold your hands. And it's so well done 10/10 show, no exaggeration. A sincere thank you to everyone involved for the incredible ride.

Might need to go media blackout tomorrow for a day to avoid #Arcane spoilers... Just three more episodes and it's all over eh? Talk about bittersweet.

So I've slowly (very slowly) been learning guitar lately and goddamn this D chord (and most of the other ones) is friggen impossible. For the life of me I can't stop muting the high E string with my second finger... Been fun otherwise though.
