When the tf stops at just the wrong time and you're now in a fully feral body with your human vocal cords and mental faculties still in check and you have to try poorly faking animal sounds whenever trying to sneak around people on all fours so you don't end up on the news or in a lab.

finally showing off Ryland for my BloodyMary AU "Half Human" in which a space research station intercepts an asteroid containing an alien virus. and he gets transformed by it because he is sooo special (has an extremely rare gene which keeps him from being killed by it)

Reference sheet of an AU design for Dr. Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary. He is shown as a regular human, 6'1" with transmasculine surgery scars, and then as a transformed version standing at 7'7" with Eridian-like alien features, including: Rocky armor on his extremities, some with crystalline structures; stone-like vents at the base of his throat and along his ribs; and most notably, a long rocky tail with crystal spines and an Eridian claw at the end. Back views show him with surgically-embedded spine modules and scars post-removal. He has a large burn scar on his upper left arm.
