A lot of what’s happening doesn’t seem to be spreading anymore by mainstream media. A tree that stood for an estimated 150–250 years was destroyed today to make way for Trump’s border wall.

I’ll be in Nashville next month. Looking for suggestions on where to eat or where to go. Bonus points if there’s an open mic for standup!
I’m looking forward to the TWLTA conference in just a month! I’m coming in Friday night—best recommendations for dinner/entertainment on a budget?
I gave a coveted Second Sticker™️ to a first grader this morning, and the whole class applauded.
Hey there, friends. I’m coming back to BlueSky to network with colleagues ahead of the @twlta.bsky.social conference in November. I’m looking forward to sharing about mentoring new teachers and how mentors can support. It’s going to be fun!
To the lawyer who represented my ex and to her client—have the day you deserve.
FYI I was once in a play with Walter from Tea with BVP. That’s my claim to fame.
Looking forward to following along this week with all the wonderful people presenting, sharing & learning at #actfl25 in New Orleans! 🎉

I just learned that a regular attendee at our church was gay and I told him that our church being “Recycling” in Christ was a big reason why I wanted to come too. Then I realized I meant to say *Reconciling*. Thankful for a church that accepts us all. @reconcilingworks.bsky.social
I’m so blessed to have people in my life this week who choose to spend time with me and make me feel loved.
It’s been a wonderful fall break and spending time with the boys relaxing and getting things at home organized.

Behold, my placebo-inator! A school age child can put their hand or finger owie into the inator, count to 5, take it out, and it feels better!
I just had to say goodbye to my dog because I gave her up for adoption. She hasn’t adjusted well to our recent move and just needs more time and space than I can give her. My heart has been torn apart. It’s been 30 minutes and I miss her so much. 🐾 💔
I really do just have the best children. I’m so proud of the teenagers they are and the young men they are growing up to be.
Sometimes you need a coffee on your balcony with your cat and dog at your side.
I feel like I’ve done something right as a dad when my son walks into the living room after unpacking and says “Wow, Papi! W books!”
Our last night in Raleigh. Tomorrow we are back to Midtown after 7 years. It’s bittersweet moving out of the home where I’ve raised my children but we’re all looking forward to this next adventure.
I’m loving watching #Wicked with my dear oldest. Such a beautiful way to spend a hot Saturday.
I graduated with my MA in Spanish from Middlebury College 20 years ago today. It was the end of a journey that included new experiences, illness, relearning how to walk, and still learning. I’m thankful to my community and community of educators who’ve poured into me all these years. #langchat
