Imagine if a man actually came down from the stars and said to you “let all the children boo-gie”. I for one wouldn’t quite know how to respond to that.

While I don’t support the use of AI to plagiarise and replace the work of real artists…I did think up this band name ten minutes ago and ask ChatGPT to make this album cover for me. I think it turned out pretty well.

Some record shopping highlights from my Perth trip - Blue Cheer album using an inside panel of the US gatefold as the actual cover, Dennis Wilson’s beautiful solo album for a nice price ($20aud), and Oz jazz vibes hero John Sangster’s take on the Hair soundtrack ($3 in an op shop/thrift store!)

At the airport waiting to fly home to my boyfriend and our cats with a bag full of records I couldn’t fit into my checked luggage. 3 1/2 weeks in Perth caring for my sick dad, record shopping was my retail therapy/circuit breaker but I probably overdid it!

I already had other copies of both of these but couldn’t say no to Australian pressings in the Christian section of a second hand record store in Fremantle last week. $45 for the pair. Two of the best records ever x
