She pointed at her mouth to show she couldn't speak, that room was still filled with that gas. Kara picked up one of Gwen's hand and pointed at her finger, trying to signal a claw coming out. In the meantime, the woman was almost healed.

Gwen managed to fire faster than her, which made the kryptonite bullet not hit Kara on any vital part... but it did hit her on her right leg. It was a LOT of willpower to not let go of the air, to not scream... That leg failed and the knee hit the floor.
