For the last seven months straight, the U.S. government has refused to process immigrant visas for nationals of 75 countries around the world; including visas for spouses of U.S. citizens. Today, a federal judge ruled the policy flagrantly illegal.

The State Department’s sweeping suspension of immigrant visas to nationals from 75 countries violated federal immigration law and exceeded Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statutory authority, a district court ruled Friday.

I’ve been doing an intensive Italian language course at Middlebury Language Program in Bennington Vermont for a month now. Italian friends from Napoli wrote down the unique words/sentences that I use. “Mi Piace Comparare” shows that I really love comparative politics!
