Book Realm Revisions turns 9! It has been a wild roller coaster ride and sometimes I didn't know HOW we stay on the track but we have made it. I have fun upcoming appearances and announcements in the last few months of the year. So stay tuned!

Theme: Friends and Supportive Partners Wrapping up the week, I am celebrating one of the main reasons why Gen Con is one of my favorites. My husband and I fell in love with the games and the bonus was the friendships we build along the way. I have the best husband.

Theme: Tornado Day One of the wildest events at Gen Con this year was unscheduled: a tornado hit the downtown Indianapolis area. I was rushing to my next event in the Lucas Oil Stadium when I snapped this photo and told my husband to wait on taking our goodies to the car. The rain was too bad.

Gen Con 2026 was a whirlwind. I love that every person who attends can have an almost completely different experience b/c there is SO MUCH going on. Yet our love of games is what brings us together. For this week here is a highlight reel of photos of organized by theme. Theme: Dungeon Crawler Carl

And so the Gen Con 2026 follow-up begins! #FreelanceEditor #TTRPG #Networking #GenCon2026

Taking a breather to celebrate the big & small things in July: • I played Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, Wanderstop, Moonlit Peaks, and Pal World. • I met two LinkedIn acquaintances at GenCon (shoutout to Mila & Laura) and networked with several publishers and creatives.

I really enjoyed listening to Jess Haskins presenting "The Well-Edited Game: How Professional Editing Elevates Our Medium." As a fellow TTRPG editor I loved hearing her insight into video games. Especially since she edited Coral Island, one of my top 5 fave games. YouTube: buff.ly/zLbUPn7

The cool thing about working and knowing talented people is when their work is recognized for how amazing it is. Earlier this year Bri drew a goblin chibi of me at work in my editing cave, which now comes from an Ennie award winning artist! #2026EnnieAward #BrightBardGames #PlusOneExp #RPGZineClub

My newsletter just went out! Here is my monthly roundup! • I played Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, Witchy Business, Travellers Rest, and playtested Fourleaf Fields. #FreelanceEditor #TTRPG #GameEditor #Scifi #Fantasy #CookbookEditor

I’ve been invited to be a Writing Battle judge by co-founder Teona Bjork! It's a huge honor to be participating as a Pro “Owl” Judge in the Solstice and Harvest Owl Battles this year. I am certainly excited to be flexing my skillset in a different way!

A tool that I have used consistency for 102 WEEKS is brain.fm. It is mind boggling to see that number. Whether for focus, relaxation, or sleep it has certainly been well worth the annual subscription. No I am not a paid marketer for them, I just love the music. Call to Freya is one of my favorites.

My newsletter is going out this Friday! I chat about books and podcasts I am reading/listening to as well as writing and editing tips. If you want to first look at my booking schedule, service updates, and news about Book Realm Revisions, you can sign up here (buff.ly/LmkHeOL). #Newsletter

Getting so close to my favorite convention of the year: Gen Con! I will be running around the show room floors, hitting up the Writer's Symposium, demoing games, and of course meeting up with friends for drinks and food. If you are attending and want to meet up, please reach out!

Copyediting is reviewing an agreed upon style rule 500 times throughout a story or TTRPG to make sure you are editing it right. For example: Emerald-green tie but their tie was emerald green. #Editor #Copyediting #StyleRules #TTRPG #Fiction

Life Update Moving weekend round 1! Of course it was hot and humid but at least the rain waited until after the weekend. I have one more weekend of moving and then I get to unpack for months. 😂 #FreelanceEditor #Moving #LifeUpdate
