Afternoon Bluesky chums. I have about a dozen tobacco tins like this. Before I consign them to the metal recycling at the tip, does anyone want any of them? Useful food r keeping radio spares / model spares / screws / nuts etc. in. Let me know if you want any, have as many or as few as you want 👍🙂

Today's modelling efforts, all for my 009 layout. A small signal cabin, and a gunpowder van based on the ones used on the Talyllyn Railway. Both need a bit more weathering I think, but overall, I'm happy with these.
I did some work at a proper posh club in London yesterday and this fabulous statue was alongside it. Air Chief Marshall Sir Keith Park, who with Air Chief Marshall Hugh "Stuffy" Dowding were the architects of victory in the Battle of Britain in 1940.
I am now vaping in such a way as to create RF morse in my Bluetooth headphones. Simple things and all that...
Many of you know I'm a pipe smoker. When I can't smoke my pipe, such as when I am in the bath in my hotel room, I use a vape. I need to tell you they are very poorly suppressed. Wearing my Bluetooth headphones to listen to stuff, every time I use my vape, I'm getting RF in my headphones.
Can you tell what I was spraying yesterday? A coat of primer to be precise.
So @captain-mushroom.bsky.social and me are going to have a bash at running an FM net for next month's #145Alive event. We'll be way out west in Pembrokeshire (much further west and your hat starts to float) and we'll either be v. busy, or bored and make mischief 👍😆🤣 145alive.com/nets/206-pem...

Right then Bluesky chums, does anyone have any idea what this seemingly useless device is on the back of our hotel room door?
Since 2022 when we were stood down as an active RAF squadron, our memorial adjacent to the former RAF Grimsby has become our spiritual home. I'm stood on ground once walked by Grandfather who did a full tour plus three from here in 1945. The memorial is well-tended by locals #100Squadron ☠️☠️
83 years after she left for her new home with 550 Squadron at RAF North Killing home, 'The Phantom' has just touched down at the former RAF Grimsby and parked up by what remains of the former Flying Control building #100Squadron
Calling #CQ on 2m just north of #Lincoln this morning, is everyone still in bed?! #HamRadio #HamR #AmateurRadio
How we like to round off a day of cathedralling and IBCC-ing. A decent west country cider. Yes it's bottled and fizzy, and yes it's made by a family sharing an unfortunate surname, but it tastes wonderful and is the perfect blend medium and dry and is proper. Chin chin my fine Bluesky friends!!
1/3 A rather emotional afternoon @ibccdigitalarchive.bsky.social I found a fair few 100 Squadron chaps on the big steel memorial panels. Particularly W/C Dave Holford, our C.O. in late 1943 and the youngest Wing Commander in the @royalairforce.bsky.social at the time. Getal Hood, who survived...
1/5 Morning campers. Today the Station Manager and I will be visiting @lincolncathedral.bsky.social (Bomber Command No.1 Group Roll of Honour is in there) and the International Bomber Command Centre @ibccdigitalarchive.bsky.social . I've been researching and writing about Bomber Command for over...
Passing through Newark on the way to Scampton, it would be criminal not to have called in @newarkairmuseum.bsky.social to see what cake was in the café today. The place is looking better than ever 👍🙂 And the tea, as always, is fab!! #EveryNAMvisitCounts
A few days away starts today, before starting my new part-time job next week. We're starting in Lincolnshire (Lincoln Cathedral and the International Bomber Command Centre) before heading to Yorkshire on FRiday (via the 100 Squadron Memorial at Waltham, just outside Grimsby) on Friday.
Things aren't looking too shabby for /P ops up in the Brecons today 👍🙂
The Phantom and me are out /P again, Cartref Reservoir in IO81GU, SN91, a new location for us. Drop a frequency below if you would like to get our WAB square 👍🙂

Last day in this job today. I'm sat in the office but my duties are all being done by other people now. It all feels a little surreal.
