I enjoyed visiting York U for Bring your MP to STEM Camp Week 2026 as part of Actua’s #STEMCampWeek. It was inspiring to see how these programs are engaging youth in critical thinking, problem-solving and the digital skills essential for Canada's rapidly evolving economy.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Dr. George Beardshaw. We remember him as a former Home Child, a proud Canadian soldier, and a man who believed in sharing his story to help others understand the experiences of the Home Children. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and service.

Bail laws are now stricter for violent & organized crime, home invasion, car theft, & human trafficking. Convicted criminals will also face tougher sentences. These sweeping reforms deliver on our commitment to strengthen the Criminal Code, support the front lines, & invest in long-term prevention.

Deeply saddened by the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. Canada stands with the people of Venezuela and is initially providing $5M in humanitarian assistance for urgent relief. My thoughts are with those affected in our community, and I extend my deepest condolences to those grieving.
