A word for journalists : When describing a man convicted of multiple sexual assaults, you need to label it as such. The article describes heinous violence then says "He then continues to have sex with her." That's not sex. That's assault. This isn't semantics. Words matter.

If I use a rolling pin to strike you in the face, we don't call it baking. If someone is raping someone, there's literally a word for that and it ain't sex. This isn't nit picking. This is essential to society changing its attitudes towards sexual violence.

Canadians want housing, affordable groceries, a robust health care system, quality education, lives free from violence and to enjoy the beautiful nature this country has to offer. We do not want fucking data centres gobbling up our water supply, poisoning our air, and making us dumber.

Ugh. Our university sent out an email announcing "Within a few years, students will arrive never having not used GenAI in their academic work" and they're just....accepting this BS premise, I guess. And pouring money into it too, apparently (because we have so much).
