took a brief detour into pre-Code gangster films the other day with "The Public Enemy", "Scarface" and "Little Caesar" in that order.. enjoyed "The Public Enemy" most of all because of Jimmy Cagney's performance and That Ending, though "Scarface" was also a trip and Paul Muni did very well

"whatever weakens the human soul - vice, greed, hatred, solitude - these bring the spirit of the wolf to the fore.. in turn, whatever weakens the spirit of the [wolf] - warmth, fellowship, love - raise the human soul." like many werewolf movies before it, "Curse of the Werewolf" is snorting Freud

"Bride of Frankenstein" time the actor playing Lord Byron must have been getting paid by the rolled r, that's enough rolls for a picnic and whoever's playing Minnie is providing more than enough ham all we need is cheese and relish and we've got a meal on our hands

"vampires can't turn into bats or wolves, that's a fallacy.." Dracula (1958) taking much of the fun and fantasy out of vampires and replacing it with Christopher Lee being horny and handsome which is fine for some i guess the cut-glass British accents are a bit distracting though

also why the sumo schedules take ages to load sometimes, because AI scrapers are not only gobbling up web traffic but ignoring directives to not index the site in robots.txt

Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

watching "Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man" i was not prepared for a monster buddy movie where Lawrence Talbot is corralling Frankenstein's monster from getting into trouble in the local village, and the Monster is showing Talbot where to find his creator's notes in the hope of a cure for teh awoos

It's officially pumpkin season, which happens to be a special treat for our ambassador wolves this time of year! 🎃🐺 Although wolves are classified as carnivores, they can sometimes have an omnivorous diet. Along with meat and eggs, wolves may also enjoy fruits like pumpkins. #wolffact

discord why must you remove my awoos and growlies in voice messages, especially to my unwell friends? sometimes the clumsily precise bloated cranium primate blah-de-blahs are the wrong sound for the job, y'know? sometimes our truest most immediate auditory expressions live beyond language
