BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! The Hell’s Belles trilogy has found a home at Saga Press, Simon&Schuster (UK), and Simon Maverick (audio)! Preorders for print (coming 5/6) and audio (coming 4/1) are available now! Elena Wolfe & Sean Masters will bring Lily&Bel to life in the audio. I’m SO EXCITED!
Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"
This is a word of warning to all of us. Left, right, or anything else. Constantly reevaluating and learning.
With less than a month left if anyone is looking for a last minute photographer I still have availability from Thursday-Sunday. I’m offering discounts for anyone cosplaying from Arcane/league of legends, Digimon, Fate, and Critical Role. My booking info can be found at www.zachmleczek.com #katsucon
Hey. Lots of heavy, horrific news about Neil Gaiman. If he or his works were important to you, I am so sorry. I encourage you to sit with your outrage and allow yourself the grace to feel and process. We have work to do, but you are allowed time to grieve.

Can the New York Times explain why they kicked me off the bestseller list supposedly because Heavenly Tyrant is "published outside the United States" even though Iron Widow, from the same publisher, hit the same list 40+ times in 2021-2022 with no problems?
2024 Roundup Told myself that I would do less this year on purpose. First of all, stopped self shooting because honestly I hate self shooting. Second I just didn't really feel like doing a lot. Don't know how to explain it but that's how it be sometimes. Photos @zachmleczek.bsky.social

Did we shoot this back in Feburary as a Valentine's Day shoot and then Zach got these to me after Valentine's and then I spent the rest of the year procrastinating editing the boobs? Yeah Photos @zachmleczek.bsky.social #fireemblem
One thing I hate about lookin for and working with new people is their inescapable need to ask “what’s the concept?” 🙄 just come shoot. I promise we will make better art when we don’t have to follow a blueprint.
New authors! Things you absolutely do not have to pay for: -Being published -Being interviewed on a podcast -Book reviews Things you should be paid for: -Being published -Your time and expertise It doesn't matter how new you are. You never need to pay to play 🖤
If you are an author, a publisher, or a “literary agent” and you are FOR banning books, may I humbly suggest you FIND A NEW JOB? 🙃
Some days I write a sentence for my book. Other days I write 10 pages. Photo editing is similar. Sometimes I only get through one photo, and other days I’ll get through 300. Any amount of progress is good it doesn’t matter how small it seems.

Stuck in a scene? Do what the pros do: use brackets. Write what the story beat is: [Our hero gets out of the fight through clever means] Then just keep writing what happens after. Maintaining momentum is key to getting the most words on the page. Meanwhile solutions often present themselves later.
A timely reminder:: "If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books, you're afraid of thinking." ~ Andrea Junker :-)}
I was talking to one of my coworkers and told him about the book I was writing. He told me that he tried to be a writer before but the hardest part was always getting the ideas on paper. The hardest part is starting. It doesn’t matter how polished it is. Just start.
If anyone’s looking for alternatives to GoodReads, I highly recommend StoryGraph. It’s owned by a black woman, and the platform is so much more accessible and easy to use.
