Yeah & more people watch TikTok than go to the cinema, does that mean filmmakers should learn from TikTok? No. Without being high & mighty, the function of creatives is to make beauty, the unexpected, the experimental & the divine. Not the easiest or most median. share.google/wKMq4019xzXB...

I find it hard to stop, even to pause. Today l made myself, and I've sat on a beach for hours doing nothing, other than occasionally getting into water. I've barely even read any words. I've replied to no emails. Not sure I could do a beach holiday for days, but for a moment it's welcome.
Posting a photo of @thefence.bsky.social on its holiday in Samos in the hope that a) the editor commissions me for some words, or b) someone on Bluesky likes my feet & I discover an untapped future income stream.
17 years ago today, Bobby Robson died. Not only an incredible manager (that brought the team I support unimaginable success before moving on to England) he was an empathetic, measured, intelligent, open-minded man. Not long after he died of cancer, I lost both my parents of C, all great people.

I know Tate are skint. But it's one thing not competing on salary with Louvre Abu Dhabi or the Met, and another not competing with a delivery gig at Papa John's pizza.
“boy george admits he used AI to create his new pro-israel song” is now a sentence we can say
If this had been policy in the 70s (as it partly was), towns would have produced lots of mining engineers & metallurgists just before pits & steelworks closed. As the yanks say, you should skate to where the puck's going, not to where it is. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

In Italy, a structure promoted for years as an "ancient Roman amphitheatre" has turned out to be a fake, constructed recently using modern materials.
