Really gutted about this. After some years away from Aberdeen, i started going to the Blue Lamp fairly regularly again and in a difficult year it's been some respite. Cultural institution here.

The Blue Lamp is closing on 30th December after 75 years. Rising costs have made it impossible to keep going. Aberdeen doesn't have an abundance of live music venues, and losing this one hurts. Once these places are gone, they're gone. ⭕ More on POST

I've definitely missed most of a support band's set - which i wanted to catch! - because i was going by myself and had to guess the times. Have long thought you should have faith in your lineup and trust people to make their own informed decisions.
