i’ve personally been filmed covertly, as have my siblings, friends & a handful of people i’ve met & spoken abt this with. it was a problem with smartphones generally but now it’s an even bigger risk and part of a broader trend to make women’s lives & worlds smaller (as well as marginalised groups)

i think right now is the moment for people to educate themselves on this tech - i spoke about this yesterday on Ireland AM with the CEO of the dublin rape crisis centre, who is hugely concerned about this tech (along with smart glasses, which are now widely used to harass and bully women & girls)

Using the brain as a metaphor for AI is deeply unhelpful, and that includes illustrations. Because really what you're dealing with is the *absence* of what we conceive of as a brain: a computational system that can go through the motions but cannot apply critical thinking.
