All booked up for the RSGB Convention 👌 early flight on Friday, then up to Bletchley Park and TNMOC. Staying on Sunday night as well, with a trip to ML&S on Monday before returning to Southampton for the last flight home.

Back home after watching the eclipse. Now sat in the garden as it is still 25C here at 9pm 🥵 The temp peaked around 32.8C today, so this does feel cooler. It's forecast to be even hotter tomorrow

6m opened to the USA again this afternoon. More new States & grids in the log. Had to quite around 1430UTC as Mrs wanted to go out for a meal, so we are now in Town drinking and deciding what to eat.....

Wow, 6m looking like 20m this morning! Got a few new grids out of it, so that was worth the time. However, I doubt I will ever apply for VUCC on 6m due to the cost of the certificate! Could be well over $100 🥺 for almost 500 grids!

As it's been so hot, and something that seems to be happening more often, I bought myself a windscreen sunshade to see if it would keep the car a bit cooler. And yes, it certainly does. However, I'm sorely disappointed to discover that you have to remove it before driving 😳 Is that really necessary?

Checked 6m FT8 at around 0700UTC, and there was one solitary and strong station. UY0LX was +00 here, and a new grid, so I called, got +00 back and in the log. Odd that he was the only signal on the band, and with such a good signal. I called CQ for a few minutes, but nothing copied

Well, that was worth a look at 6m 👌 2 new DXCC in the log... GI4OWA and EY8MM, plus a few new grids. Happy with that 👍😀

Guernsey hit it's hottest day ever today... 36.4C. At 9pm it's still 28C, but now actually pouring down, and there's thunder around. Hopefully, it may cool things down a bit, but it will raise the humidity, so another hot & sticky night

Our health department suggested standing by a freezer in your underwear to cool down. Thought I'd give it a go. All was fine until the police turned up after the Waitrose staff called them..... 😉
