ICANN's gTLD application window closed last night and bigger-than-2012 (last round) stuff is already happening lfg.link applied for 316, more than anyone in 2012 (it'll cost $71 million in application fees alone!) some interesting strings in there...going to thread until I run out of steam

a kind of wish atproto apps with paid subscription upgrade models would introduce more tiers at the lower level too. i don't know if i can commit to shelling out $7/mo but would more happily support with like $1/mo or $2/mo for some basic subset of the pro features

it is astonishing to see how many packages are on npm - 5.6 million, according to packages.ecosyste.ms/registries/n.... there were under two million when we did the `everything` package! the ai explosion has really diluted the registry.

i finally figured out how to use github's inbox correctly... 😭 i've been forcing myself on unread only mode so i was always going back to mark things unread to look at them later i feel so silly now
