Tbh, this may be unfair but I 100% judge people who have a "romantic" relationship with a chatbot. To me that betrays how you view a potential partner. If your perfect partner has so little autonomy I find that disturbing.

"It gives "alive vibes" and that's basically the same thing. Some scientists probably might say that." Again, I must point out that it they genuinely believed this it would be morally unacceptable for corporations to own and exploit them. But I assume they aren't making that argument.

Wired article: "Who Cares if AI Is Conscious—It's Basically Alive"

It's like folks are afraid of someone thinking it's a plot hole if you don't clearly explain everything. Let them! You can't stop people from being dumb! People confused themselves about incredibly simple and clear implications at the end of a Spider-Man movie for children.

It’s about time we had a reckoning with the need so many writers feel to over-explain everything aspect of their stories, even in non Weird genres. Readers don’t need to be babied. Let us figure things out. Leave room for interpretation. Over-explanation makes writing worse.

Once again I must complain: there is no earthly reason for Davinci Resolve to default to changing clip colors when you paste attributes every single time I open the program again. I literally never want that to happen AND it slows shit down.

People who make mobile versions of websites tell you "download the app" instead of simply being a goddamn website deserve pain in their lives No, actually, I don't fucking want your app. I'll just use desktop mode.

It feels silly, but I would SO much less stressed out right now if I weren't struggling to kill the fruit flies in my home for weeks. Weeks of them constantly flying DIRECTLY at me while I'm trying to work is taking its toll.

I finished Banner Saga a little bit ago. I really like a lot of what the games are, but I always end up unsatisfied with their endings. Unfortunately the final ending was no exception, I was left just being like "that's it?" It wasn't as big an issue with 1, but 2 and 3 both have this issue.

"The Man Who Sold the World" is a great theme for MGSV, but I submit a good fallback is "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who. The lyrics kinda describe the plot, if you think about it?

Silly Doctor Who Theory: The Doctor technically both is and isn't the Timeless Child. Technically The Other is the Timeless Child, and while the Doctor isn't canonically an iteration of the other they COULD be. However, I have an additional suggestion: so is every other Time Lord.

I recently rewatched Muppet Treasure Island, and every time I'm always struck by how truly great Tim Curry's performance as Long John Silver is. He took the role completely seriously while also embracing the Muppet-y comedy of it all, which is the kind of thing only a great performer is capable of.

I think another lesson to take from the loss of both Dolly and Tim Curry is that neither of them took themselves seriously but they took the work dead serious that's the most important thing pour all of yourself into the craft but have fun and don't get an ego.
