Alright, I'll be honest I don't think this is gonna go anywhere but the combination of increased attention to Piczel and me being personally annoyed at the stupid "good luck avoiding AI in software lol" shitposts is enough to get me to add this as a funding goal.

Been spitballing ways to offer other ways of writing stories for people. The "YCH" angle is top of the list, but doing it for stories would be different vs. art. Would be "Here's setting/predator. YCH to be the prey" or something like that...

It's really tempting to have this perspective because this is an easier thing to solve than the reality, but the reality is that it's payment processors. I'm one of the furry programmers, you want to know why I haven't been writing more code? It can't be monetized. I draw NSFW; it's off the table.

I'm looking to streamline some of my commission onboarding process soon - basically to try and make it so you spend less time waiting for estimates, and so it's easier to both pre-estimate prices and to see where you are on the queue of messages to respond to. I am very open to suggestions <3

Layout finished on the next comic for Max the Eevee - it's 5 pages <3. I was a tiny bit worried about this one; I've had the basic idea for a while but it's been a challenge to try and translate it in a way that doesn't feel awkward or contrived. It's very cute and I'm very happy with it <3

Also I don't understand why these people can't just set up their own appview that bans anti-AI talk, I thought the network was decentralized. That's what gets trotted out for very literally every single moderation debate on this site, and suddenly it's just not an option?

"A bunch of people would rather post on Race War Now Dot Swastika rather than Bluesky because you keep making fun of their imaginary computer friend" is a RESOUNDING endorsement for the concept of hostility.

Part of a thread from some bluecheck: Multiple people I know have told me that they love the idea of Bluesky, and want it to succeed, but have abandoned it for X because the use agentic tools in their work and find them incredibly useful, and feel that any mention of their usage here leads to hate and ridicule. I wouldn't bring this up if it was just one person, but it was multiple people since the beginning of August who mentioned in passing something to the effect of either "I'd spend more time on Bluesky if people weren't so anti-AI" *or* "As much as I hate to be there all the useful AI talk is on X." I'm not saying it's anyone's responsibility to praise AI usage. I agree with much of the criticism of the tool. But for many, many people, it is a useful tech (I have talked about the ways I find it extraordinarily useful, only to have people here mock me, insisting my lived experience is a lie). I am just noting that for all the people here who say that people should get off X and spend more time here, the reason I keep hearing from people in various circles who would *like* to do that, but don't, is the vociferous belief of many here that there are no possible positive uses of AI.

With only a few minor exceptions, most AI Centrists that I see online that start with "you can hate AI but you have to accept that it's useful for-" very quickly morph into: "you can hate AI, but you can't criticize the people who use it or oppose it in any meaningful way." #AIBullshit
