While we continue to create and to advocate for more affordable housing, we must also focus on prevention, to reduce housing loss. Here’s how our program works to support women and families facing eviction. Email evictionprevention@adsumforwomen.org to see whether you’re eligible for support.
Punishing service providers & reinforcing NIMBYism will not solve homelessness. Housing that people can actually afford - and supports when needed - is the solution to homelessness. Stop stigmatizing people - and the organizations meeting their basic needs.
We supported 80+ families to move into temporary or permanent housing over the past year or so, leaving behind hotel rooms that should only be an emergency response. Nova Scotians need housing that is secure safe & affordable. We’re working to end homelessness through housing, services and advocacy.

While many happy holiday traditions centre on home, warmth & hope, too many Nova Scotians are housing insecure. They don’t have the stability to find this sense of peace & joy. Over the holidays, we’re sharing the words of a tenant who knows the impact of having a stable home. #housingisahumanright
