I ordered in what I thought was passable French but the server in the rural Quebec diner said, “it’s ok I can tell you’re English”. We saw the big movie about the big journey home after the big war. This viewer has sensitive ears and was glad she brought earplugs. It was fun but for all the noise and spectacle, she felt unmoved. She thinks she might’ve liked it more without the same sleek Hollywood actors who are in every film.

It is hard to go 3 hours without a bathroom break but be thankful the film is not 10 years long
