In a private discussion today this came up: “We need the January 6th Commission hearings, for DOGE.” One could do a lot with NIH and NSF alone. There are clinical trials that ended, patients that died, young people leaving the US… and bad stuff that happened inside the agencies.

I've struggled explaining to people: so there was this weird group that was obsessed with the idea that AI would lead to human extinction. And they were super worried about it. So to prevent that they created AI.

TAPPER: I would ask if you could convey to Trump to let CNN back in the pool. It was not okay when Obama tried to freeze Fox out. I don't think we want a world where presidents get to decide who covers them WALTZ: We need fair, objective, & well-sourced reporting. I've been victim of this nonsense

Russia said exactly the same about Ukraine in 2014 - just before sending infantry, tank, airborne and air defence units into Ukraine's Donbas in August 2014. Russia said the same thing again about Ukraine in January 2022 - just before attempting the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
