In the Indo-Pacific coral reefs of Raja Ampat, a Zebra Shark goes about its day swimming in the bustling coral with various schooling fish of all kinds (unicorn fish, blue tangs, and Bartlett anthias), making sure the reef is healthy and stable.

For years, zebra sharks have been referred to as "leopard sharks" (not to be confused with the houndsharks off the kelp forests of Pacific), because of their spots that cover their bodies as adults. Zebra sharks get their name because of the stripes that they possess at birth when they're pups, but gradually loose their stripes as they get older.

They're docile sharks, meaning they're not a danger to humans, and feed on mollusks and crustaceans while also being popular for public aquariums that display them. Which is unfortunate because they're sadly endangered thanks to coral reef degradation (both by humans and man made climate change) and dynamite fishing which destroys coral reefs in the process.

I drew Bowser back in April back when the Mario Galaxy Movie was in full swing, and while it took me four months to finally finish him in color, there was nothing too short of giving Bowser a much needed update.

By looking at this, it's miles better than how I drew him back in last year's April, where I did decent, but it left a lot to be desired for Bowser.

Here, he's now fully rendered to the most colorful, as the Mario Galaxy movie poster proved to be an excellent use for color study and composition.

Once again, Happy Bowser Day and cheers to the King of the Koopas for the past 41 years.
