I think GM emulation in solo ttrpgs is the wrong way to go. It's much better to be the GM and emulate the players. It's much easier and you still get to be surprised by things. It also allows you to run investigations
I played some solo OSE today with What Ho, Frog Demons. Half of the six adventurers were killed by traps in the first two rooms. Purdy lethal

I watched Red Sonja (2025) this afternoon and had a really good time. I know it got kinda slammed, but it had everything I wanted from a pulpy sword and sorcery film. Some great themes, I thought, and the bad guy was genuinely empathetic.
Looks great. I was flipping through BREAK!! today. A really lovely game, fantastic graphic design. Lots of ideas packed into the core rules

I watched Josie and the Pussycats the movie this morning and it's bloody good!
I didn't mind The Last House. The first half was better than the second. It felt like a mix between The Mist and Dawn of the Dead, but not really horror. The pacing dragged though
