With Trails complete, I’ve flung myself fully into Fortune’s Weave and have been thoroughly enjoying Cai’s arc. I’m nearing the end of Part 1, and will probably do Theodora’s next. The story in this is just absolutely phenomenal. I’m glad this game’s finally clicking for me.

My Chrono Trigger figures came in! Thanks to PNPGames 🇨🇦 for coming in clutch with my preorder. With the concert in a couple weeks, everything’s coming up Chrono Trigger!
After nearly two weeks and 64 hours of gameplay, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Remake is now complete. There’s no doubt in my mind. This IS my Game of the Year. Castlevania, Final Fantasy Resonance, Fire Emblem - they’re all going to have to play for 2nd place.

Today marks one week since Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Remake came out! I’m ~40 hours in and halfway through Chapter 6. So many scenes being retold in 3D are epic in so many ways. Estelle’s arc in this chapter in particular exemplifies her being one of the greatest heroines.
Trails 2nd Chapter Remake continues to impress me with how both faithful to the OG it is, while cinematically expanding so many scenes. I had finished Chapter 4; seeing Estelle reunite with one particular person in her past had me tear up quite a bit.
We're continuing our play through of the Legend of Zelda on the NES! Can I beat the first quest? Can Krush survive the perils of Level 6, and Pronous Level 5? That, and more, is answered! youtu.be/qBh_lDqMyK8

Peak jRPG gaming. We’re eating well, my friends.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Remake is everything I’d hope it’d be so far. 18 hours in and I’m still as hooked as I was with the OG! THIS is how a remake should be.
That marks the ending of Tokyo Xanadu! Decent action jRPG goodness with a fun Nihom Falcom/highschool story. English dubbing would’ve been a great addition as well. Regardless, a nice breath of fresh air before jRPG greatness coming in 4 days!
With the Legend of Zelda NintendoDIRECT announced for Tuesday, it's a perfect time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this wonderful series! Family and friends, the latter including @gamingwithkrush.bsky.social, celebrate by playing the OG NES title that started it all! youtu.be/A1GCaSjIW5I

Today is the hardest day. We say goodbye to Fira, our YT channel’s namesake after 15 years. She’s been struggling with a myriad of health issues recently. We’ll miss her dearly as she crosses that rainbow bridge. 🌈

This marks the final, TRULY final end of Octopath Traveler 0! Nearly 80 hours from start to finish, with all quests done. The story was fairly lackluster, but decent gameplay overall and GREAT music and graphics! Solid 8.5/10 game.
Finishing up the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Remake demo from Gungho! So many great moments and around 10 HOURS of gameplay, yet September 17th cannot come fast enough. Now these are remakes done right!
Octopath Traveler 0 has been a slow burn for me. The music, graphics, and gameplay are stellar - peak Octopath to be sure! The story is probably the weakest of the three games. I think I got spoiled by Octopath 2; that entry fired in all cylinders, a true 10/10.
That marks the end of Pragmata! Excellent story, where it occurs, and excellent gameplay as well. Really enjoyed this one! Loved that it required thorough concentration whenever fighting enemies.

This was one of the worst jRPGs I’ve played in the last 5 years, for a LOT of reasons. I think this’d be worth replaying, and maybe streaming, to see if a lot of these issues I had were resolved with this newer version.

Mina the Hollower is now complete! Aaaand…yeah, feeling pretty “hollow” after this ending. Regardless, interesting melding of Link’s Awakening, a sprinkle of Castlevania, and a bit too much Souls-like.
That’s the end of Yakuza Kiwami 1! The whole time I was playing, I kept thinking, “man, I really miss the jRPG mechanics of 7 & 8!” Still, the story was fun and interesting. The combat was fun, although a lot of the bosses were straight up BS.

What an absolutely stellar game 8-Bit Adventures 2 was! My second 10/10 game I played this year. @CriticalGamesAU knocked this one out the damn park. The story and character development just kept getting better and better. And they nailed the landing! So very happy with this!
And that marks the end of RE4 Remake. What a f***ing masterpiece. What a game, I am SO glad I finally got into this series, just so I can experience this game.
And that’s a wrap on Ball X Pit! Surprisingly addictive gameplay, with the building of the town aspect surprisingly compelling. That’s especially impressive for me, as that kind of thing is something I don’t usually like.
