Jessa Ray at the falls in Volcano, California—a hidden cascade known locally as Ladybug Falls. During summer, thousands of ladybugs descend upon this location, in-flight near the waterfall, forming swirling clouds of beetles that blanket the rock faces in vibrant orange and black.
