“We have found, to our consternation, considerable groupthink within the professoriate on matters that are otherwise widely debated. This academic monoculture stifles heterodox viewpoints on disputed questions such as the safety of vaccines, the square root of four, and the earth’s topology.” 👌🏽

"For too long, the university has ignored the wisdom of the donor class and hired based on academic excellence. Regrettably, this has led to the underrepresentation of discredited viewpoints in elite higher education." www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/wer...

Babies who don’t get the vitamin K shot are 81 times more likely to develop severe bleeding. In many cases, oxygen can’t reach their brains and blood pools around their skulls. Yet driven by misinformation, more parents are refusing the injection.

Honored and excited to work more closely with wonderful colleagues to explore new things the intersection of health/medicine and comics can offer and to amplify the incredible work done by artists, practitioners, patients, caregivers, and scholars in the field of graphic medicine.

Today marks 14 years since 17-year-old, unarmed Trayvon Martin was shot and killed while walking home. 14 years later, we’re still demanding a country where our children can walk home in peace — without being treated like a threat.
