A picture of Zool. Anyone remember Zool? Did anyone actually like Zool? I thought I did until I played it again. Cool character, great product placement(?!), awful game.

"I like your art, it's inspiring" - amazing to hear, thank you "your art is so good it makes me feel inadequate, I am going to fucking k*** myself" - can you workshop this
I can't believe this film was originally a bit of a flop. It fuelled my childhood nightmares for years! I love it :)
Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts are amazing even now. He animated the sequence by himself for more than four months -- without computers or even an easy way to check his work. We're looking into how he did it: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/how-ray-ha...
If you’re going to do business cards, make sure you do them properly, like @oldlethers.bsky.social did!
DENSHATTACK! Such a great game I had to draw (almost) all of the characters. This is still part of the #SixFanArts callout I did the other day, I just really wanted to do something bigger for Denshattack. Emi is so cool!

Spent the morning trying to figure out why colour settings are off in Photoshop... let's see: - Check proof colours. Nope. - Check colour profiles. No change. - Check hardware colour profiles. Normal. - Check for any weird layers. Nope. Oh wait, Photoshop updated this morning, it's just a bug 😡😡😡
I just completed Denshattack and I thought it was amazing. 100% up my street, really colourful silly fun. Thanks @kairuh.bsky.social for the recommendation!
Good. I never liked saying Google it, it felt very American to give a brand name, rather than just “search”. Also this might help people move away from Google, so double positives
I'm actually fine with sounding old.
I remember seeing this on GamesMaster when it was released and thought it was amazing. I also felt sad that this would never come to consoles... So, yay!
another home first from Namco's 3D era on Arcade Archives this week: the 1997 trackball-controlled racing game Armadillo Racing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDMD4OwRuzE once again, compatible USB trackballs/mice & Switch 2 joycon mouse functionality also, split-screen multi's exclusive to ACA2
Here's some poster artwork I made for a (proper) party at Develop this year. @owendavies.bsky.social kindly printed it onto tshirts as well!

Its a really bizarre state you find yourself in when you work so much on commercial art that it becomes difficult to share. Because then, you stop existing, so to exist, you have to work double to make more, other art, which then doesn't represent your main career. So to solve that you have to -
My artwork is in the latest Edge magazine, as part of an interview with the lovely @danthat.bsky.social
On the way to Brighton for Develop while frantically trying to tweak my website while on the train cos I'm a cooool guy. Will I do it in time? NOPE. See you in Brighton!
Another clever art tool! People are making beautiful tools for free. The internet is healing!
I made a website that lets you cut out old magazines from the internet archive (or any PDFs you own) and make collage art out of them: ✂️ clipart.studio
This is really *really* good. Even if you're not a pixel artist, check it out for the novelty alone.
📺 pixtube (beta) is open — try it while it's up! A tiny pixel art editor with my CRT shader built in: draw or drop in an image and watch it on a simulated CRT in real time. Things may change or disappear as I tinker. pixtube.komm64.com
I’ve never been a fan of Instagram anyway, but everytime I check now it’s non-stop fake AI posts of celebrities. I tried to mark one as inappropriate (Harry Potter characters undressing, but of course) but the button magically didn’t work.
Everyone else seems to be doing it, so I'll say that I'll be at Develop as well. Looking forward to talking games and such. If you need me for any work please come and chat!
I didn't have time to do anything for NiGHTS 30th anniversary, so here's one I did for the 25th anniversary!
Still a game that’s in my top 10. Beautiful game!
'NiGHTS into dreams...' was released on the SEGA Saturn 30 years ago today in Japan.
I made two Robots playing Basketball. It's what those computers in the AI data centres are going to do once the AI fad is finally dead.
Yes, but please keep them in their box. That image makes me nervous.
Do you want to keep buying Physical games?
Got a new computer, moved everything over and it just works perfectly - EXCEPT for Adobe apps. Of course! Of course...
If you need audio, Jake is both amazing and a fantastic guy:
Hello! 👀🎵🔊 I'm actively looking for work for the first time in a few years, still working away on Bladesong and NEO TITAN but have part time availability and open to short or long term projects. I'll put some work examples and more details in the thread, likes and shares very much appreciated! 🖤
