I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Turns out juggling life sometimes means stepping back. But I’ve started something for me: a challenge as I turn 40 to climb the Marilyns. Fresh air, steep climbs and plenty of thinking space. It’s harder than I thought and so much better than I hoped.

I’ve spent the most inspiring afternoon with @mattobin.bsky.social. Unfortunately, it’s been via the medium of the incredible Picturebook CPD course that he has written for PiXL and not in person but I’ll take it. I cannot wait for this package to be released next week at the conference!
Given the freezing temperatures, I forgot to expect snow and ice at a car park called Mountain Base Camp 🤦♀️. Yes, I did skid and slide the car on the ice and then cry (not one to be dramatic or anything) but I did at least go fully prepared for the walking aspect of the day and it was glorious!

I finally persuaded my youngest to take a photo with me, only to get completely distracted. What could cause this expression? A puppy? Winning a dream holiday? Nope. The waiter was bringing my food. Find someone who looks at you the way I look at my dinner. 🤣
Have you seen this @trythisteaching.bsky.social? This is peak potato! 😍
Going to a brilliant Friendsgiving tonight— it’s mashed potatoes themed. As in, the hosts are making a lot of mashed potatoes and we’re all bringing things to go on mashed potatoes. I’m bringing beef bourguignon
Finally found my way over here! Same book enthusiast, new digital home. Like moving houses but with fewer boxes to unpack and a more peaceful feed to scroll through. Hello everyone, I’ve missed you all!
