I worked with Tim Curry when I was seven, we were in the Opening Number of the Oscars together. I had no business being there, to be honest. I couldn’t sing OR dance. But he was patient with me, and was as funny, fun, and kind as you’d hope him to be. I always hoped I’d be able to see him again.

"It's given a lot of people permission to be themselves, to not dream it, be it, which is the motto of the movie, really. I would like to be remembered for that." Farewell to Tim Curry (1946-2026) #RIP

I know it’s hard to watch all these beautiful things be carried away by time and see the wrong things growing in their place. But listen. Listen. We have to be the beautiful things now. It has to be us. It has to be us. Courage.

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

There aren’t many celebrities of this age whose death would be like a punch in the gut, much as l’ve loved them. Dolly Parton feels different. Like some balancing pure Good in this world is being lost. What a heart, what a voice, what a beautiful human. RIP queen. 🩷💜❤️ variety.com/2026/music/n...
