#OTD 1977 – Jimmy McAlister becomes 1st Washington native to earn a cap for USMNT. Fresh from being named NASL Rookie of the Year, McAlister, 20, comes on as substitute in 2-1 win over El Salvador in San Salvador.

#OTD 2023 – OL Reign sends goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce to Manchester United for a reported $160,000. Tullis-Joyce has been Seattle starter since arriving from Reims in 2022. She finished with 47 appearances and 15 clean sheets across all competitions.
