(1/?) PSA: An individual in the community is attempting to hold a finance/shipping role in multiple zines with similar timelines without any known previous completed experience—for a second time We are sharing this to spread awareness and to explain why people are concerned.
🔸 New Resource You may have heard someone say "research your zines" before, but don't know what that means or where to start. Our new beginner guide to zine research may be what you were looking for. Check it out at: zineresearch.carrd.co
🔸 We've updated the zine taglist! We've re-vamped the format to make it easier to keep things up to date. It will require some piecing together different lists depending on your zine. You can find it here: atozines.carrd.co#taglist Let us know if we missed anything
@wriozine.bsky.social Shame on you, shame on your whole team if the team consented to this. If being critical of the head mod GOING BEHIND A WHOLE ZINE’S WORTH OF CONTRIBUTORS AND MODS’ BACK warrants removal from the zine server with NO PRIOR DISCUSSION, trust between us has been +
⛓️🎩 IMPORTANT: Chargebacks + Refunds 🃏🐺 PLEASE INITIATE CHARGEBACKS. We were informed today that Ash has proceeded with partial shipments and bundles include the print that merch artist Nine no longer consents to being included. (1/10)

slowly, but surely... we are adding to this list If there are any specific projects you think need the extra promo by being on this list let us know. In the meantime we primarily add to the list based on the posts we're tagged in and what we come across organically

A little confused about the USA & China tariffs? We put together a little infographic to highlight the parts that affect the zine community the most. Things are rumored to change, but this should explain why some projects are changing their plans and how you may be affected.

New List: ✨ Free zines — bsky.app/profile/atoz... This list will not include: - projects that aren't 100% SFW (no NSFW side zines) - invite-only projects - accounts on the "free zines/event hosts" list: bsky.app/profile/atoz... - projects that do not specify they are free in their bio*

🔸What type of zine project is best for you?🔸 This resource was made with generalizations primarily for those new to the space and who need a starting point to make informed decisions. Always read the zine info doc as every project is different.

🔸 Tip Place hashtags in the main post—not in a reply—for better results. Bsky is not like Twitter. Bsky does NOT display the entire thread when searching through tags; it only shows the post with the hashtag. Bsky also tends to omit replies from searches, only focusing on main posts.
