As the Jewish Labour Movement, we would like to thank Keir Starmer for everything he has delivered as Leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister. We will hold all candidates to account in a leadership contest to ensure they have the same dedication to the fight against antisemitism.

We welcome the sanctions imposed on those accused of enabling settler violence and the expansion of settlements in the occupied West Bank. This must end if we are to see a lasting peace in the region and a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians.

In response to a string of horrific attacks on the Jewish community, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is bringing in new legislation to protect the UK from hostile activity. Subject to parliamentary approval, the new law is expected to come into force as early as next month.

Labour is taking action on tackling antisemitism in the NHS. We're pleased that the government has accepted the recommendations set out by Lord Mann in his report on antisemitism in our National Health Service.
