A5 If play were a design principle: no A-E grades, strong skill focus, flexible timetable, more PBL/CBL. Assessment would be mostly formative, students show learning, highly individualised, and much more autonomous. Learning would truly thrive! #EduSkyAU

When we lose wonder, we lose a love of learning, too! In my role, we do field trips with students. Last week we went out to Shark Bay. The amount of questions that happen when students have wonder...as my boss Suzy would say that is #therealclassroom. #EduSkyAU

A2. Deep learning without play is like trying to breathe with half a lung. You might survive, but you won’t thrive. Play is the rehearsal room of creativity—it’s how we prototype understanding. Strip it away, and we flatten curiosity into compliance. #EduSkyAU

And for me, there is a greater need to actually reframe the role of the state: rather than being the sole author of reform, governments can act as stewards and enablers—creating conditions that support local experimentation and shared learning. #EduSkyAU

1. Provide equitable funding. 2. Use their influence to bring like-minded people to collaborate. 3. Support initiatives suggested. 4. Bipartisan long-term support. 5. Help provide systemic change for other deep-rooted problems. #EduSkyAU

For me, we must first ask the question, what is the purpose of the school of the future? For me, there must be an emphasis on intra & entrepreneurial skills. Schools must lean into student strengths. Schools must be personalised. Learning should be hands-on, connected and authentic. #EduSkyAU
