I’m proud to say I smashed my 2025 reading goal of 30 books (will finish with 35). Nothing close to what I could do as a kid, but adults are busier lol. I’ve long held certain Bach or Mahler pieces as the greatest classical works, but the more I listen to Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2 the more I think it might just be that. Such a short work but so profound. A piece of intrigue and mystery beyond the waltz form. There’s so much going on, I love it
