here's another maxim for yall that will prey on public values for engagement by being difficult to disagree with in a vacuum show genuine interest in people's art, music, venues, the people and friendships in that particular scene and you will be booked.
As an organizer of events, booking people to perform is my least favorite part. 9 times out of 10 it looks like me asking 10 ppl to play and only hearing back from 5 of them and only able to get 1-2 of them for the lineup. I don’t know if this is even normal for others but it’s frustrating to me.
