Westchester showed up in a big way for the FIFA World Cup Final! Kensico Dam Plaza was filled with excitement as fans gathered to watch one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Congratulations to Spain on an incredible championship run and a well earned World Cup victory.

Summer nights are even better when our downtowns are filled with live music, great food, and neighbors coming together. It was a joy to join everyone in Downtown White Plains for another Rock the Block Wednesday.

Such incredible energy yesterday for Cait Conley. NY-17 is fired up and ready to bring new leadership that will deliver, and with Cait, NY-17 will have leadership that will never back down from a fight. Leadership that will unite instead of divide, and clean up corruption in Washington.

It was a pleasure to celebrate the 141st Anniversary of Bethel Baptist Church alongside its congregation and community. For 141 years, Bethel Baptist Church has been a place of worship, fellowship, and service, making a lasting difference in the lives of so many.

A powerful moment in White Plains as the community gathered for a Revolutionary 250 reenactment of the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Hearing those words read aloud was a reminder that Westchester played an important role in the founding of our nation.

Nothing beats spending time with people who care about their community. Thank you to the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus – Mount Vernon Chapter and Diane Atkins for hosting another fantastic Annual Fish Fry.

One of the best parts of public service is recognizing the people who serve alongside us every day. It was wonderful to join CSEA Unit 9200 at Glen Island Park for Family Fun Day and celebrate the hardworking employees and families who make Westchester County stronger.

There is no greater investment than empowering the next generation. I was proud to attend the Sister to Sister STEAM Camp graduation and celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding young women.

Another big win for Yonkers and Westchester County. I was proud to join Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Mike Spano to celebrate a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative award that will help continue Yonkers’ remarkable transformation.

I was excited to join our partners in Mount Kisco to announce the first construction award through Westchester County’s Complete Streets Municipal Assistance Program.

Communities across Westchester are helping tell the story of America’s founding, and it was wonderful to join the North Castle community for its Revolutionary 250 Ceremony.

Westchester’s story is America’s story. It was an honor to unveil Westchester County’s Holt Broadside, a rare 18th-century edition of the Declaration of Independence that connects our community directly to the birth of our nation.

It was a pleasure to celebrate with Town of Mamaroneck Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney, Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Sharon Torres, and so many community members at the Mamaroneck Firefighters Parade and Carnival.

As we celebrate the United States of America’s 250th anniversary, we are reminded that our nation’s remarkable history did not happen by accident. It was built through courage, sacrifice, and an enduring commitment to the ideals of freedom and democracy.

One of the best parts of the Fourth of July is seeing our communities come together. I was glad to celebrate with Harrison Town Supervisor Tom Scappaticci and the Harrison community as we enjoyed another wonderful Independence Day tradition.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make the groundbreaking of 70 Westchester Avenue a reality. This exciting mixed-use development is another important investment in the future of White Plains and Westchester County.
